Postcards Set Red Square Moscow

The Set of cards - with the best kinds of capital of Russia is not expensive, but very pleasant GIFT which will remind your friends and to business partners about you and your city.In a set - 16 cards with the best kinds of Moscow.Moscow was first mentioned in the Chronicles for the year 1147 and in the fourteenth century it became the capital of Russia and its spiritual centre. In 1480 Russia threw off the Tartar-Mongol yoke and Grand Duke Ivan 3 of Moscow undertook an unprecedented stone-building programme. turning Moscow, then a modest city, into a truly beautiful capital. Italian architects and master craftsmen built in Moscow the Ca¬thedral of the Dormition - the main church of Russia. From the same period date the surviving walls of the Moscow Kremlin with 18 towers, the Faceted Chamber and the Cathedral of the Archangel Michael - the burial place of the Russian grand princes and Tsars. Assembly Square, the place of major state and church ceremonies, was completed with the construction of the Ivan the Great Bell-Tower and the Cathedral of the Annunciation. Thus the main architectural complex in the central part of the capital was created. Moscow was being built according to the ra¬dial and ring pattern of main streets based on the specific features of the terrain and it proved to be highly effective. At the end of the seventeenth century the architectural appearance of Moscow acquired new features owing to the activities of Peter the Great. European-type palaces were being constructed instead of old chambers- previously unknown buildings of public use began to appear- houses were put up not within courtyards as before but alongside the red lines of streets. In 1712 the Emperor transferred the capital to St Petersburg and the amount of construction work in Moscow sharply diminished. Never-theless its character also changed to meet the demands of the new age. In the middle of the eighteenth century Baroque buildings, mainly designed by Dmitry Ukhtomsky and architects of his circle, appeared in Moscow. From the 1770s onwards the city saw a reconstruction according to the town-building principles of Classicism. After a devastating fire in Mos¬cow captured by Napoleon in 1812 new alterations in the citys centre lent it some features of the Empire style. At the turn of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries a predominant style in the rapidly growing city was Art Nouveau replaced by Neo-Classicism and other contemporary trends. Moscow continues to grow and improve itself to this day.In the presence of the goods in a warehouse, the order is delivered within 2-3 hours from the moment of order reception.
